The short version. I'm Jev (imjev.ai) is a free party game run by an individual. It keeps the minimum needed to run a public leaderboard, and nothing else: no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies, no selling or sharing of your data, no profiling. You can erase everything about you with one click.
Who runs this
I'm Jev is operated by an individual (the "operator"). Contact: me@imjev.ai.
What the game does
Each round shows a spectrum (for example "Cold ↔ Hot") and an item. You place the item on a dial; an AI model called Jev does the same. Your score is your distance from Jev across the game. Everyone plays the same public game, and scores appear on public leaderboards.
Signing in with Google
Playing (not watching) requires signing in with Google. We request only Google's basic sign-in scopes: openid, email and profile. From these we receive and store:
- Your Google display name and profile picture — stored so you can choose to appear under them. Shown publicly only if you pick "My Google identity" in your profile. If you pick a username and generated avatar instead, your Google name and picture are never shown to anyone.
- Your verified email address — stored only to identify your account. It is never displayed, never used to send you email, and never shared.
- An opaque account identifier from Google, used so you can sign in again.
We do not access any other Google data (no contacts, calendar, Drive, Gmail, etc.), and we never will without updating this policy and asking you again.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we store about your play
- Your dial placements for each round, your per-game scores and rank, and your best score per day. These power the leaderboards and are shown publicly under whatever name and avatar you chose.
- If you choose a username, that username (checked for appropriateness, see below) and the style/seed of your generated avatar.
- Sign-in session tokens, so you stay signed in. These are stored hashed and expire.
What we do not do
- No analytics or usage tracking of any kind.
- No advertising, no ad networks, no tracking pixels, no third-party cookies.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data with anyone.
- No email marketing. We never email you.
- No IP address logging beyond the transient operational logs of our hosting provider.
Service providers
The game runs on Convex, which hosts the database, backend and this website. Convex processes data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.
Two AI-related uses, both narrow:
- Jev (an AI decision model by TypeSafe, accessed through Convex's AI Gateway) is sent the round's spectrum and item to produce its placement. It is not sent any personal data or your guesses.
- If you choose a username, that username alone is sent to the same model to check it is appropriate for all ages. Nothing else about you accompanies it.
Generated avatars are fetched by your browser from DiceBear using a random seed; no personal data is sent to them.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and play history only so that leaderboards and your standing continue to work. You can erase everything at any time: open your profile (click your avatar) and choose Delete my account. This immediately removes your name, email, picture, username and avatar, and purges every guess, score and daily result associated with you. Only an anonymous internal identifier remains, so that signing in with Google again simply starts you fresh.

Children
The game is intended for a general audience and is designed to be appropriate for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and it will be removed.
Security
Data is stored with Convex, transmitted over HTTPS, and sign-in uses short-lived signed tokens. No system is perfectly secure; we keep as little as possible so there is as little as possible to lose.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change and any change to how Google data is used will be reflected here before it takes effect.
